Those are also accessible to people with limited mobility as they usually offer elevators. In Quarteira, you have a popular fish market and the daily vegetable and fruit market in the very centre of the city. If you are looking for something new and modern facing one of the golf courses, it will cost you between € 1.6 million to € 2.5 million, depending on size and design. Firm rental income potential.

Boliqueime is the seat of a parish, with 42 square kilometres of extension, and more than 6.000 inhabitants. The toponym "Boliqueime" derives from the Italian "bulicame" which means "thermal spring", the creation of this village being linked to the Genovese, Venetians and Sicilians who, in the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, commanded the Algarve coast for tuna and whale fishing and went to Boliqueime to carry the indispensable drinking water, Fonte de Boliqueime. Today the commercial part of the village lies directly at the EN125 and is known as Fonte de Boliqueime.

SÃO BRÁS DE ALPORTEL
São Bras de Alportel was once the heart of Portugal's cork industry and as such is snuggled in an area dotted with cork and pine trees. Although the industry has now relocated, the town's former wealth is still noticeable in the architecture of its residential and commercial buildings. Alongside the main town square with shops and restaurants, there are numerous shops, bars and restaurants scattered throughout the town. From the 17th century, São Brás became the summer residence of the bishops of the Algarve due to its mild climate. The episcopal palace, built in the 17th and 18th centuries to protect against the heat of summer, was changed constantly in the following centuries. Today, only part of the main building and the Baroque fountain are preserved. In the Serra de Caldeirão, north of Alportel, there are large natural forests - some owned by the municipality, where cork oaks grow up without human intervention. The cork bark harvested here is considered to be the best in the world and the product of agricultural cork plantations far superior. Therefore, the cork is preferably used for the production of bottle corks for quality wines and champagne. Property around São Bras de Alportel is a mix of traditionally humble Algarvian Quintas, grander, former merchant houses and some contemporary additions in the outskirts of town. Real estate comes not only in many diverse styles but also in various price ranges with São Bras apartments and Quintas within the cheaper price brackets. Townhouses and villas in São Bras for sale are generally larger and many feature pools so prices are a little higher. Rather low rental income potential.
Moncarapacho is located close to Fuseta and is the easternmost municipality found in the district of Olhão.

There is a cheerful market every first Sunday of the month on the large car park at the entrance to the village. During Carnival time, Moncarapacho comes to life. The olive plantation and oil mill "Lagar da Horta Félix” is worthwhile a visit, which owns the oldest trees of over a millennium. Not far from the village sits Vila Monte, a Boutique Hotel with an attractive surrounding.
When considering villas for sale in Moncarapacho, look out for features such as sea and mountain views, and private swimming pools.
Smaller Moncarapacho Quintas may have less contemporary luxuries but many boast beautiful, authentic Algarvian features. Prices for a detached house with pool and sea views can vary between 650.000€ and 2m€. Lower rental income potential.

The golden limestone cliffs that make up the coast of Carvoeiro and its contiguous beaches are moulded by the erosion of wind, rain and sea water. They form an intricate landscape of caves, arches, fissures and outcrops worthy of exploration. Enchantingly picturesque, this fishing village is a cluster of whitewashed houses spread out on the hillside, concentrating on a central square situated next to the beach which became a place of choice for families. The numerous bars and restaurants on the square make it a pleasant place to relax and enjoy a drink while admiring the views of the beach.

The urbanized area includes approximately 11.000 inhabitants. Silves is the former capital of the Algarve and is of great historical importance. The region of Silves has been inhabited since the Palaeolithic, as attested by archaeological remains, including several menhirs. The river Arade, which was navigable in historical times, linked the hinterland to the open ocean and allowed the transport of produce and commerce.
In 1191 under Muslim rule, the city would then prosper to the point of being called the Baghdad of the West. The town was finally taken from the last Muslim king in 1242. The great mosque was changed into Silves Cathedral. Silves declined in importance thereafter and was eclipsed in the region by Faro during the colonial period. In recent years, the number of tourists visiting the town has been increasing, especially as a destination of cultural tourism.
The surrounding land is quite virgin and offers countless beautiful old Quintas and villas with total privacy.
Prices of high quality built villas vary between € 1.5 million and € 4 million.
Lagos has maintained its traditional characteristics while becoming a cosmopolitan holiday destination. Historically, the fascination of Lagos has always been associated with its geographical position, opposite the African coast. Henrique brought fame to this region, founding his navigation school in neighbouring Sagres, having resided in Lagos and built there his famous caravels. Today, the attractiveness of Lagos lies in the abundance and beauty of its beaches. Whether long stretches of sand dunes, such as Meia Praia, or smaller, sheltered beaches, such as Praia da Boneca or Praia Dona Ana. Water sports, scuba diving and golf are attracting active tourism. Palmarés Golf is situated to the east of Lagos, on the hills overlooking Meia Praia, and Boavista Golf Resort is situated to the west, on the coast leading to Praia da Luz.
