Moncarapacho is located close to Fuseta and is the easternmost municipality found in the district of Olhão.

The centre, where whitewashed houses are sitting around the church, is still largely untouched by tourism. The church square invites to linger and chill. Attached to the Santo Cristo chapel there is a small museum, the “Museu Paroquial” with archaeological finds and utensils from the surrounding area. There is a cheerful market every first Sunday of the month on the large car park at the entrance to the village. During Carnival time, Moncarapacho comes to life. The olive plantation and oil mill “Lagar da Horta Félix” is worthwhile a visit, which owns the oldest trees of over a millennium. Not far from the village sits Vila Monte, a Boutique Hotel with an attractive surrounding.

When considering villas for sale in Moncarapacho, look out for features such as sea and mountain views, and private swimming pools.

Smaller Moncarapacho Quintas may have less contemporary luxuries but many boast beautiful, authentic Algarvian features.
Prices for a detached house with pool and sea views can vary between 650.000€ and 2m€. Lower rental income potential.
